Bhutan is a small, landlocked country in South Asia, nestled in the Eastern Himalayas between India and China. It's known for its unique approach to development, which prioritizes Gross National Happiness (GNH) over Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This philosophy emphasizes sustainable development, cultural preservation, environmental conservation, and good governance.

Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu. 

Morning :- Arrive at Paro International Airport. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas during your flight. Meet your guide and driver at the airport

Afternoon :-Drive to Thimphu (1.5 hours). On the way, stop at Tachog Lhakhang, a temple built by the great iron bridge builder Thangtong Gyalpo. Enjoy the scenic drive along the Paro River.

Evening :- Check-in at your hotel in Thimphu. Explore the local markets, visit the Clock Tower Square, and enjoy a traditional Bhutanese dinner at a local restaurant. You can also visit the Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the third King of Bhutan.

Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha

Morning :- Visit Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the government and the summer residence of the monastic body. Explore the Folk Heritage Museum to get a glimpse of traditional Bhutanese life. Visit the National Library, which houses ancient manuscripts.

Afternoon :- Drive to Punakha (3-4 hours). Stop at Dochula Pass (3,100 meters) to enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range and the 108 chortens (stupas). Have lunch at Dochula Cafeteria

Evening :- Check-in at your hotel in Punakha. Take a leisurely walk along the riverside and enjoy the serene environment. Visit the Suspension Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan

Day 3: Punakha to Paro

Morning :-Visit Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the riverside.

Afternoon :- Drive back to Paro (5 hours). En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan. Stop at a local farmhouse for tea and snacks.

Evening :- Check-in at your hotel in Paro. Explore the town, visit local shops, and enjoy dinner at a cozy restaurant. You can also visit Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery overlooking the Paro Valley.

Day 4: Paro - Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Morning :- Hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery), perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The hike takes about 4-5 hours round trip. Enjoy the stunning views and the serene atmosphere at the monastery.

Afternoon :- Return to Paro and visit the National Museum, housed in the Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower. Explore the exhibits showcasing Bhutanese art, culture, and history.

Evening :-Enjoy a traditional hot stone bath (optional) to relax your muscles after the hike. Have dinner at a local restaurant. You can also visit a local farmhouse to experience Bhutanese hospitality and cuisine.

Day 5 :- Departure from Paro

Morning :-Free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing. You can visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan. Take a stroll through the Paro town and buy some souvenirs.

Afternoon :- Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure flight. Bid farewell to your guide and driver.
