Char Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage in Hinduism that encompasses a visit to four holy sites located in the Uttarakhand state of India. These sites, known as the Char Dham, are:

 

Yamunotri: The source of the Yamuna River, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.

Gangotri: The source of the Ganges River, dedicated to Goddess Ganga.

Kedarnath: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Badrinath: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, one of the most revered Vishnu temples.

Significance of the Yatra:-

Spiritual Purification: It is believed that undertaking this pilgrimage washes away sins and leads to spiritual liberation (moksha).

Divine Blessings: Visiting these sacred sites is considered to bring blessings from the deities.

Cultural Immersion: The yatra offers a deep dive into India's rich cultural heritage.

 

 

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar

  • Activities: Arrival in Haridwar, check-in at the hotel, evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.
  • Overnight: Haridwar

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot

  • Activities: Drive to Barkot via Mussoorie, visit Kempty Falls.
  • Overnight: Barkot

Day 3: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot

  • Activities: Drive to Janki Chatti, trek to Yamunotri, visit Yamunotri Temple, return to Barkot.
  • Overnight: Barkot

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi

  • Activities: Drive to Uttarkashi, visit Vishwanath Temple.
  • Overnight: Uttarkashi

Day 5: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi

  • Activities: Drive to Gangotri, visit Gangotri Temple, return to Uttarkashi.
  • Overnight: Uttarkashi

Day 6: Uttarkashi to Sitapur

  • Activities: Drive to Sitapur.
  • Overnight: Sitapur

Day 7: Sitapur - Kedarnath

  • Activities: Drive to Gaurikund, trek to Kedarnath, visit Kedarnath Temple.
  • Overnight: Kedarnath

Day 8: Kedarnath - Sitapur

  • Activities: Trek back to Gaurikund, drive to Sitapur.
  • Overnight: Sitapur

Day 9: Sitapur to Badrinath

  • Activities: Drive to Badrinath, visit Badrinath Temple.
  • Overnight: Badrinath

Day 10: Badrinath to Rudraprayag

  • Activities: Visit Mana Village, drive to Rudraprayag.
  • Overnight: Rudraprayag

Day 11: Rudraprayag to Haridwar

  • Activities: Drive back to Haridwar, departure.

Airport/railway station transfers:

From your arrival point to the starting point of your journey. A comfortable vehicle for traveling between different destinations. Accommodation in hotels or guesthouses at various locations as per the itinerary. Depending on the package, it might include visits to other holy places like Gaurikund, Rudraprayag, etc. 

Personal expenses:

This includes items like laundry, shopping, alcoholic beverages, phone calls, etc.

Tips:

Tips for drivers, guides, hotel staff, and porters are usually not included.

Insurance: Travel insurance, medical insurance, or any other form of insurance.

Optional activities:

Any additional activities like rafting, trekking, or sightseeing beyond the package itinerary.

Entrance fees:

Entry fees to temples, museums, or other attractions.

Pony/Palki/Helicopter services: These are usually optional and additional costs for Kedarnath.

Meals:

Beyond the ones mentioned in the package (usually breakfast and dinner).
