The Tirupati Balaji Temple, also known as the Venkateswara Temple, is a renowned Hindu Temple located in the hill town of Tirumala, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, a form of Lord Vishnu, who is believed to have appeared on earth to save humanity from the trials of the Kali Yuga.

Lord Venkateswara:- The main deity, also known as Balaji, Govinda, and Srinivasa, is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to Legend, lord Venkateswara appeared to save humanity from the trials and troubles of the Kali Yuga.

Historical Significance:- The temple has a rich history, with contributions from various dynasties including the Pallavas, Cholas, and Vijayanagara rulers.

Architecture:- It Showcases stunning South Indian Dravidian architecture and is situated on the seventh peak of the Tirumala Hills, also known as the Temple of Seven Hills.

Piligrimage:- It is one of the most visited Piligrimage centers in the world, attracting millions of devotes annually.

Wealth:- The temple is considered one of the richest in terms of donations received and wealth.

Rituals and Practises:- The temple follows the Vaikhanasa  Agama Tradition of worship and is known for its elaborate rituals and ceremonies.

Day 1:- Arrival in Tirupati

Arrival:- Reach Tirupati and check into your hotel.

Relax:- Spend the day relaxing and exploring the local area. You can visit local markets and try some traditional Andhra cuisine.

Overnight:- Stay at the hotel in Tirupati.

Day 2:- Tirupati balaji Darshan 

Early Morning:-Head to the Tirupati Balaji Temple for darshan. It's best to start early to avoid long queues.

Padmavathi Temple:- Visit the Padmavathi Amman Temple in Alamelumangapuram, dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi, the consort of Lord Venkateswara.

Local Sightseeing:- Explore other local attractions like Kapila Theertham, a temple dedicated to Lord SHIVA with a beautiful waterfall, and ISKON Tirupati, known for its serene environment.

Overnight:- Stay at the hotel in Tirupati.

Day 3:- Tirumala Local Sightseeing 

Sri Varahaswami Temple:- Visit this temple dedicated to Lord Varaha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Sila Thoranam:- Explore this natural rock formation in the shape of an arch, believed to be millions of years old.

Srivari paadalu:- Visit the highest point of Narayanagiri Hill, where Lord Venkateswara is believed to have set his feet on Earth.

Papavinasanam:- Take a holy dip at this sacred waterfall.

Akasa Ganga Waterfalls:- Another beautiful waterfall used for the temple's daily rituals.

Overnight:-Stay at the hotel in Tirupati.

Day 4:- Day Trip to Chandragiri Fort 

Morning:- Depart for Chandragiri Fort, Located about 15km from Tirupati. Explore the historical fort and the Raja Mahal palace.

Evening:- Return to Tirupati and Relax at your Hotel.

Overnight:- Stay at the hotel in Tirupati.

Day 5:- 

Morning:- Check out from  the hotel and depart for your onward journey

Yes, you can reserve accommodation and buy seva tickets online through the TTD website. Seva tickets can be booked 90 days in advance, and accommodation can be reserved 60 days from the quota availability.

Darshan timings vary, but generally, the Temple is open from early morning(around 02:30 AM) to late night (around 12:00 AM). Special Darshans and sevas have specific timings.

The 300rs/- Darshan Ticket, also known as special Entry Darshan, allows pilgrims to have a quicker darshan experience. These tickets can be booked online and are subject to availability.

You can subscribe to the Sapthagiri magazine by sending a request for a minimum period of one year to a lifetime. The subscription can be done through the TTD website or by contacting the Chief Editor of Sapthagiri Mazine.

There are several types of Darshan avaliable,including:-
1. Sarva Darshan :- Free Darshan available to all pilgrims.
2.Special Entry Darshan :- Paid Darshan(300rs/-) for quicker access.
3.Divya Darshan :- For Pilgrims who walk up the hills.
4.Seva Darshan :- Includes various sevas (services) like Suprabhatam, Thomala Seva, Archana, etc., which require advance booking.

TTD provides various accommodations options ranging from free dormitories to paid guest houses. You can book these online through the TTD website or at the Central Reception Office In Tirumala.

Yes, there is strict dress code. men are required to wear dhoti and shirt or kurta-pyjama, while women should wear saree or salwar kameez. Western outfits like jeans, Shorts, and T-shirts are not allowed.

Tirumala can be reached by Road, Rail, and Air;-
By Road :- Regular buses and Taxis are available from Tirupati.
By Rail :- The nearest Railway station is Tirupati, well-connected to Major Cities.
By Air :- The Nearest airport is Tirupati, about 40km from Tirumala.
